Posture & Spinal Assessment Visits

Posture is more than standing upright, in fact there is an optimum posture for maximising how we function and perform whilst minimising the stress on the body.

Posture is a major influence on health problems effecting how we sit, stand, walk and carry out everyday tasks!

Our assessment  approach combines Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and years of coaching that looks at the interplay between these factors.

Over 80% Of The Population DO NOT have a neutral posture!.

Restrictions in movement from poor posture can create health issues such as shoulder and neck pain, bad pain and hip issues.

Poor posture and restriction can create altered compensation patterns and adaptations reducing movement, performance with extra pressure on muscles and joints.

In essence if you move badly, training badly you will performa badly.

A Niggle can become an injury, no injury is too small!

Whilst being as an expert in spinal injuries I deal with complex injuries and postural adaptation and compensation patterns that may develop minor niggles to more serious problems at a later date.

Spinal and Posture Assessment Bolton

Using a comprehensive assessment & Diagnosis process, we assess and diagnose all areas of the musculoskeletal system. Our spinal MOT covers the entire spine.

The assessment process involves an in-depth review of your medical history and complaints. From here, we will then visually examine your spine and perform movements to assess your mobility. This will help us to diagnose your condition and design a programme of treatment for you. This treatment may be advice around specific exercises that will alleviate your symptoms, or it may require more hands-on treatment. We provide information and educational material around self-treatment which will put you in control and reduce your risk of further injury.

Cause of Spinal Conditions

There are many reasons why we might experience spinal conditions. Aside from poor posture and injury, post and pre-operative issues can lead to general or localised aches and pains. We will tailor a bespoke treatment plan for you to enable you to return to your previous level of activity. This plan may involve self-management, exercise rehabilitation or hands-on therapy, including mobilisation and manipulation.

We will work in partnership with you to set long term goals to aid your recovery and reduce future risk.
